The state of Texas has filed a lawsuit against the owners of Lamun-Lusk-Sanchez Texas Veterans Home, charging the facility with violating minimum nursing home standards and threatening the health and safety of its residents.
The suit, brought by Texas Attorney General Gregg Abbott on behalf of the state Department of Aging and Disability Services, was filed in 118th District Court last week against Sears Methodist Retirement System Inc. and Senior Dimensions Inc., owners of the veterans' home.
The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 9 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. today:
â€˘ MIGUEL ANGEL REYES JR., 34, of 1519 Tucson, was arrested Sunday on a charge of public intoxication.
â€˘ EMMETT WAYNE RASH, 37, of Granbury, Texas, was arrested Sunday on a charge of driving while intoxicated â€“ second offense.
â€˘ ALFONSO VARGAS, 23, of 3604 Hamilton, was arrested Sunday on a warrant for no driver's license â€“ when unlicensed.
â€˘ EAMON SEAN DALEY, 20, of Fort Worth, Texas, was arrested Sunday on a charge of consumption of alcohol by a minor.
