The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 9 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. today:
• RONALD STANLEY HASELBY, 62, of Carlsbad, N.M., was arrested Saturday on a charge of public intoxication.
• KEITH ANDREW HILARIO, 28, of 1113 Lloyd, was arrested Saturday on a charge of assault by contact.
• MICHAEL ALLERY WEIST, 31, of California, was arrested Saturday on a charge of no driver's license – when unlicensed.

One injured in Alon fire

A fire at an undisclosed location on the Alon USA Big Spring Refinery sent at least one person to the hospital Sunday night, according to local officials and unconfirmed reports.

Reports of an explosion at the Big Spring Refinery began circulating through the city and social media sites Sunday night at approximately 9 p.m. Big Spring Fire Chief Craig Ferguson confirmed shortly after that a fire had been reported at the local facility, however, there were no explosions.
