FORSAN — School district trustees here will work to finalize estimates for a construction bond issue they hope to present to voters this May when they hold their regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the administration wing board room.
It is now highly likely — although still not a certainty — Forsan Independent School District trustees will call for a bond election to be decided May 11. No final price tag has been set on the bond, although preliminary estimates are in the $20 million range.
More than a dozen area residents were indicted by a Howard County grand jury this week, with numerous true-bills for charges of possession of a controlled substance.
Cases were presented by District Attorney Hardy Wilkerson and Assistant District Attorney Robin Orr, as the grand jury indicted 16 people on 25 separate charges during Tuesday's session.
Among those indicted were:
• Holston Banks III, 21, currently being held at the Howard County Detention Center, evading arrest (third-degree felony) and injury to a child (third-degree felony).
