Candidate forum set for Thursday

April 13, 2013

The Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Meet the Candidate Forum at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Hall Center for the Arts.

The forum gives candidates an opportunity to introduce themselves prior to the May 11 city and school board elections.

“We're encouraging everyone to come out and meet each of the candidates,” said Debbye ValVerde, Chamber executive director.

ValVerde said each candidate will be allowed to speak for five minutes.

The court is expected to meet in an executive session with the Austin law firm Bickerstaff Heath Delgado Acosta LLP of Austin, which commissioners retained in early March.
