Need a quick but lasting gift for Mother's Day? Look no further than the Green Thumb Cottage.

The Cottage, located at 1604 W. Fourth Street in Big Spring, is home of the Howard County Master Gardeners, who will be holding their annual spring sale this weekend.

Time and date for the event is 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday.

“We know people are busy, and sometimes Mother's Day can sneak up on them. We also know a potted plant or a tree that will keep on living and giving is one of the best gifts we can give that special mom,” said Julie Coates, the organization's president.
