The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 9 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. today:
• ISA DELGADO CASTELLANO, 59, of 811 E. 14th St., was arrested Sunday on a charge of public intoxication.
• KENNETH NEIL RATLIFF, 41, of Comanche, Texas, was arrested Sunday on a charge of shoplifting - $50 or less.
• LLOYD WINFIELD MORGAN II, 22, of 909 Highland Dr., was arrested Sunday on a charge of public intoxication.
• JEFFERY THOMAS ARCHER, 42, of Priest River, Idaho, was arrested Sunday on a charge of public intoxication.

Howard College offers scholarship opportunity

It's one thing to enroll in college. It's entirely another for the college to write off the charges.
Howard College is offerings students at its Big Spring campus an enticement to enroll early, and it's a doozy — anyone who completes early enrollment for the fall 2013 semester as a full-time student (at least 12 semester hours) by the end of business Tuesday will be entered into a drawing for a full scholarship which would cover the entire 2013-2014 college year.
The scholarship is valued at approximately $3,600, said Rebecca Villanueva of the college's enrollment office.
