Howard County Fair officials are making a special effort to reach out to children this year.
The fair, which runs from Sept. 26-28, will have special hours reserved solely for area elementary students, organizers said.
There will be no admission fee between the hours of 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26, and Friday, Sept. 27, said Sandy Stewart of the fair association.
“These hours are available only to the (county) elementary schools and are not our regular hours,” Stewart said. “Exhibits have been planned to entertain and educate the children.”
