Howard College trustees gave tentative approval to across-the-board pay raises for district personnel during a combination budget workshop-regular meeting Tuesday.

College employees would see their annual income increase by at least $1,200 under the new budget, which will not be formally approved until Aug. 27.

Faculty can expect annual salary increases of between $1,389 and $1,857, depending on their contracts, while other employees will see significant pay raises also, College President Dr. Cheryl Sparks said.
