Benefit cook-off set Saturday

The Fraternal Order of Eagles will host the Children-In-Need Chili Cook-Off at its lodge this weekend. The 12th annual event will benefit West Texas Centers' Children-In-Need Benefit Fund.

Rail facility nearing reality

Construction of a petrochemical product loading and transporting facility in Big Spring is getting closer to reality, board members with the Economic Development Corporation learned Tuesday evening.
Representatives from CBRE, the world's largest commercial real estate services firm, updated board members on plans for the “transloading” facility, which would be located on EDC-owned land east of the Alon Refinery.
