Fire ‘suspicious,’ investigation ongoing

That’s how Big Spring Fire Marshal Carl Condray has described a Wednesday morning fire that destroyed two homes near the 1000 block of North Bell.

Gas line break sends two to ER

Two men were injured when the backhoe they were operating struck a natural gas line south of Ackerly Thursday morning.

The men, whose identities have not been released, suffered “non-life threatening” injuries caused by gas inhalation, officials said.
