3 killed in Ward County accident

Three Howard County residents were killed and another injured in a two-vehicle accident in Ward County Saturday afternoon.

Killed in the accident were Anthony George Herrera, 30, and Kiana Woodruff, 7, of Big Spring, and Diane Lopez Herrera, 51, of Coahoma. Veronica Herrera, 29, of Big Spring, was transferred to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa with undisclosed injuries.

DRCC fees on council agenda

The Big Spring City Council will consider new rental fees for the Dora Roberts Community Center when it holds its regular bi-weekly meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in council chambers, located at 307 E. Fourth St.

City officials are citing increased operation and maintenance costs as the main reasons for the proposed changes in rental fees.
