The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. today:
• DIMITRI ANDREW LEOS, 20, of 710 E. 17th St., was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for consumption of alcohol by a minor.
• KAMEO TREVON HOLLOWAY, 18, of 710 E. 17th St., was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for no driver's license – when unlicensed.
• ROBERT RUBEN SANCHEZ, 47, of 1023 Stadium, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of public intoxication.
• LATRICIA NICOLE TERRY, 30, of Waco, Texas, was arrested Tuesday on two warrants from other agencies.

Stolen credit card, cell leads to missing mom, daughter

A Snyder mother and daughter reported missing Wednesday from Colorado City were located safely Saturday near the Houston area, according to law enforcement officials.

Brittany Hill, 23, and her 2-year-old daughter, Khloe Wheeler, were reported missing Wednesday afternoon to law enforcement in Colorado City while the pair were visiting family members in the area.

Wednesday's report also set off a search for Hill's boyfriend, 21-year-old Rosendo Gonzales, who, according to a statement issued by Colorado City Police Chief Roy Owens, has a violent history with the Snyder woman.

Polling places for today's primary election

Don’t forget to vote today in the party primary elections. Polls opened at 7 a.m. and will close at 7 p.m.

Polls are in the following locations:

• Precincts 11-14 (including 12A), 16, 103 and 104 vote at the County Road and Bridge Office, located at 1000 N. San Antonio.
• Precincts 24-26, 205 and 208 vote at the Big Spring Mall, located at 1801 E. FM 700.
• Precincts 207 and 207C vote at the Coahoma Community Center, located at 306 North Avenue in Coahoma.
• Precincts 32-35 and 304 vote at First Baptist Church, located at 705 W. FM 700.

PD: Missing woman was assaulted

COLORADO CITY — A Snyder woman was treated for a concussion and split lip hours before she and her 2-year-old daughter went missing, according to the Colorado City Police Department.
Police are searching for the whereabouts of 23-year-old Brittany Brianne Hill and her infant daughter, Khloe Makinley Wheeler. The two were last seen Tuesday in Colorado City, where Hill was visiting her mother.
Police are also searching for Hill’s “boyfriend” — 21-year-old Rosendo Gonzales.

County prepares to honor veterans

Trinity Memorial Park has been hosting Memorial Day ceremonies for more than two decades, and this year will be no different.
The 28th annual Memorial Day Ceremony is set for 2 p.m. Monday. The ceremony will honor Howard County veterans. Veterans families have sponsored the event by purchasing flags — more than 100 —which will fly in the Avenue of Flags.
“This is a great way to refocus on what the reason is for Memorial Day. It allows us to honor those who have chosen to serve our country in the Armed Forces,” Phillip Welch, Trinity Memorial Park facility manager, said.

Polls in this year’s political party primaries will open at 7 a.m. Tuesday throughout the Crossroads area, with voters deciding which Republican and Democrat candidates will move on in the election process.
Howard County Elections Administrator Saundra Bloom and her team of clerks are ready to wrap up the primaries, despite a tumultuous election season in the state of Texas.

The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday:
• LAUREN LARCH SMITH, 24, of 1501 S. Scurry, was arrested Friday on charges of assault family violence threat or offensive touch (two counts).
• CHRISTOPHER AARON SALAZAR, 24, of 1602 Sunset, was arrested Friday on a warrant from other agency.
• ALBERT SMITH, 39, of 1609 Oriole St., was arrested Friday on a charge of possession of marijuana less than or equal to two ounces and warrant from other agency (two counts).

C-City authorities seeking public's help in search for missing mom, child

Law enforcement officials in Colorado City are searching for a 23-year-old mother and her child after investigators say she was reported missing Wednesday.

Reports made to the Mitchell County Sheriff's Office indicate Brittany Hill and her 2-year-old daughter, Khloe Wheeler, were last seen Wednesday around 3 p.m. in Hill's 2002 blue-gray Toyota Highlander.

According to investigators, there is a white cross-shaped sticker and a decal reading "In Memory of Jessica Castillo" on the back of the vehicle.

Garden City seniors graduate tonight

GARDEN CITY — Katie Multer and Reggie Halfmann are the top graduates for Garden City High School' Class of 2012, school officials announced.

Multer, the daughter of Tanya and Warren Multer, is class valedictorian. During her high school career, she has been active in National Honor Society, student council, University Interscholastic League academics, Fellowship of Christian Students, Future Farmers of America, one-act play, Business Professionals of America and robotics.
