The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 9 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. today:
• RONDEL WAYNE BROCK, 57, of 2800 Macauslan, was arrested Sunday on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
• ALEJANDRO MIER, 27, of 1225 SM 461, was arrested Sunday on warrants for speeding and failure to appear.
• ANTONIO JARROD MOORE, 32, of 709 San Antonio, was arrested Sunday on charges of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less and three warrants from other agencies.

The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday:
• GABRIEL LEE MARTINEZ, 22, of 1611 Owens, was arrested Friday on warrants for theft greater than or equal to $500 and less than $1,500 all other, open container in a motor vehicle/driver and fail to appear.
• MELISSA GAY YOUNG, 42, of 800 Lancaster, was arrested Friday on a warrant for nuisance/animal repeatedly at large.
• JUAN MANUEL MARTINEZ-GONZALEZ, 68, of 609 S. Nolan, was arrested Friday on a charge of fictitious/counterfeit inspection certificate.

Robinson cited for safety violations

Following a recent series of deadly accidents in and around the Crossroads area, U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) cited Big Spring-based Robinson Drilling LTD for nearly a dozen health and safety violations at a Lenorah work site.

The work site — located in Gaskin Field, Gaskins Well No. 1, reportedly at Rig No. 20 — was investigated by OSHA’s Lubbock District Office.

Webb Reunion scheduled to make landing

Memories will be flying this weekend at the Webb Air Force Base Reunion.

The reunion will take place at Hangar 25 Air Museum, with registration from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Reunion attendees will also be treated to a hamburger luncheon at noon at the museum with an aerobatic show by stunt pilot Jan Collmer starting at 1 p.m.

A Mexican fiesta dinner will be served at the Senior Center with a mariachi band as entertainment.

The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. today:
• LEONA JEAN RADASA, 29, of 1413 Wood, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of public intoxication.
• AUDREY DALE NEWELL, 43, of 301 Pine, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less.
• LUIS ALEJANDRO RAMOS, 22, of 1606 Cardinal, was arrested Wednesday on a charge of possession of marijuana – two ounces or less.
• FREDERICK CAMPBELL, 62, transient, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant from another agency.

Tidwell gets 120 days in jail, 10 years probation, fined

Winkler County Attorney Scott Tidwell, who went on trial in 118th Dsitrict Court last week on charges of two counts each of misuse of official information, official oppression and retaliation will have to spend some time behind bars, as he was sentenced to 120 days in county jail, 10 years probation and a $6,000 fine.

It took the jury approximately three hours Monday to find Tidwell guilty on the charges, which were presented in a Howard County court because of an ordered change of venue by presiding Judge Robert H. Moore III.

Comedy troupe to perform Saturday

Crossroads residents will get a chance to laugh — and, more importantly, for a good cause — Saturday, as the local comedy troupe the Goondock Saints will present an evening of laughter and entertainment to benefit the local volunteer fire department.

With doors at the Hog Heaven Party Barn — located on W. Highway 80 — set to open Saturday at 7 p.m., Goondock Saints founder Clay “Goonie” Vickers said the show will offer those attending a chance to relax and enjoy some big-city humor.

• LARRY JAMES STERLING, 53, of 2911 W. Highway 80, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of criminal mischief – more than $500 and less than $1,500.
• AURORA CANTU, 27, of 2911 W. Highway 80 Apt. 248, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant from another agency.
• CHARLIE EVERRETT RYERSON, 65, transient, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of public intoxication.
• SCOTT FREY, 62, transient, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of public intoxication.

Tidwell guilty on 6 counts
