The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday:
â€˘ LAUREN LARCH SMITH, 24, of 1501 S. Scurry, was arrested Friday on charges of assault family violence threat or offensive touch (two counts).
â€˘ CHRISTOPHER AARON SALAZAR, 24, of 1602 Sunset, was arrested Friday on a warrant from other agency.
â€˘ ALBERT SMITH, 39, of 1609 Oriole St., was arrested Friday on a charge of possession of marijuana less than or equal to two ounces and warrant from other agency (two counts).
Law enforcement officials in Colorado City are searching for a 23-year-old mother and her child after investigators say she was reported missing Wednesday.
Reports made to the Mitchell County Sheriff's Office indicate Brittany Hill and her 2-year-old daughter, Khloe Wheeler, were last seen Wednesday around 3 p.m. in Hill's 2002 blue-gray Toyota Highlander.
According to investigators, there is a white cross-shaped sticker and a decal reading "In Memory of Jessica Castillo" on the back of the vehicle.
GARDEN CITY â€” Katie Multer and Reggie Halfmann are the top graduates for Garden City High School' Class of 2012, school officials announced.
Multer, the daughter of Tanya and Warren Multer, is class valedictorian. During her high school career, she has been active in National Honor Society, student council, University Interscholastic League academics, Fellowship of Christian Students, Future Farmers of America, one-act play, Business Professionals of America and robotics.

The Big Spring Police Department reported the following activity between 7 a.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. today:
â€˘ GLENN DETRICT LOTTMAN II, of New Braunfels, Texas, was arrested Thursday on charges of driving while intoxicated, driving while license invalid, failure to signal lane change and disregarding a red light.
â€˘ ANTHONY ROBERT SANCHEZ, 25, of 1415 Tucson, was arrested Thursday on charges of failure to identify â€“ giving false information and driving while license invalid â€“ DWI related.
You donâ€™t have to be a long-time teacher to be an outstanding teacher. Corey Green is proof-positive of that.
Green, in the second year of his educational career, was named the recipient of the Mirabeau B. Lamar Award Tuesday, presented annually by the Big Spring Masonic Lodge No. 598, AF&AM, to the top teacher in the Big Spring Independent School District.
Dennis Burns of the Masonic Lodge said nominees for the award were submitted by campus principals and the winner was named by a committee of Masons.
Big Spring City Council on Tuesday approved first reading of an ordinance calling for the publication of notices to begin the funding process for the $13 million overhaul of the municipalityâ€™s water and wastewater facilities, a 4B sales tax project approved by voters May 12.
FORSAN â€” Forsan High School has announced its top graduates for the Class of 2012.
Sydney Holdampf, daughter of Paula and James Holdampf of Big Spring, is class valedictorian, while Hope Cimino, daughter of Sam and Steve Cimino of Big Spring, is class salutatorian.
Holdampf will graduate with a ranking grade point average of 5.11111, while Ciminoâ€™s ranking GPA is 4.89361.
GAIL â€” Shayli Boles and Austin Fields have been named the top graduates for the Borden County High School Class of 2012.
Boles, daughter of Scott and Sheri Boles of Lamesa, is class valedictorian. She is a member of the National Beta Club and is a Distinguished Achievement graduate. Also, she completed 30 hours of dual credit college classes through Western Texas College of Snyder during her high school career.

â€˘ MARY JEAN BERRY, 41, of 4000 W. Highway 80, was arrested Tuesday on a warrant for theft between $500 and $1500.
â€˘ PAULA SUE BAKER, 52, of 101 E. 16th Street, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of public intoxication.
â€˘ VERONICA MARIE ORTIZ, 29, of 1509 W. Fourth St., was arrested Tuesday on a warrant from other agency.
â€˘ DAVID LYNN DOW, 29, transient, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of criminal trespass-habitation/shelter and evading arrest/detention.
