AUSTIN ‚Äď Texas Game Wardens will conduct its first virtual patrol ridealong via Twitter on Labor Day weekend.
The wardens will give the public a first-hand look at what happens on a typical opening dove season shift in their tweet-along on Sunday, September 1st.
Throughout that day, the agency‚Äôs technology warden, also a commissioned officer, will join a warden in Travis County and tweet continuously what happens that day. ¬†The public is invited to follow along at twitter.com/TexasGameWarden.
Pace‚ÄôLei Grace Lance was born Aug. 12, 2013, at 12:17 p.m. She weighed 6 pounds 11 ounces and was 19 inches long.
Pace'Lei is the daughter of Angela and Blake Lance of Coahoma. Maternal grandparents aree Donna and David Pace of Big Spring. Maternal grandparents are Lonnie and Vernette Hill of Big Spring. Pace'Lei was welcomed home by big brother Dylan Lance.
Jonathan Lee Rees was named to the dean's list at Victoria College for maintaining a gpa of 3.5 or greater for the semmester.
Jonathan is the son of Greg and Darla Rees of Victoria, Texas. He is the grandson of Charles and Johnnie Ray and the late, Skeet Harrington all of Coahoma; and Fred and Anita Blalack of Marble Falls and the late, Robert Rees of Olney.
Delbert and Louise (Ramirez) Green were married Aug. 29, 2013 in the courtyard at Marcy House in Big Spring. Mr. and Mrs. James ‚ÄėLeon‚Äô Snider, residents of Marcy House, served as attendants for the couple. Judge Kim Hoffman of Garden City, officiated the wedding.
After the ceremony, guests joined the couple for a reception inside the activity room that overlooks the porch and courtyard area.

A.C. (Cotton) and Billie Mize will celebrate their 66th wedding anniversary on Saturday Aug. 31, 2013. The couple will spend a relaxing weekend in Ruidoso, N.M.
Cotton was born in Big Spring. Billie was born Billie Yvonne Norris in California. As a young woman, she moved from Fresno, Calif. to Big Spring, Texas and began working at the state drug store where she met Cotton, after he returned from serving in World War II in the United States Air Force in January 1947.
Baylea Morgin Fox and Michael Calvin ‚ÄúRock‚ÄĚ Roquemore, both of Lubbock, Texas will exchange wedding vows at 6 p.m. Nov. 2, 2013, at Trinity Baptist Church. A reception will follow at The Courtyard in Big Spring, Texas.
Baylea is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Fox of Big Spring, Texas and the late, Gary Heith Ware.
She is a 2009 graduate of Big Spring High School and a 2013 graduate of Texas Tech Health Science Center receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and is employed by Bob Jones Speech Language Hearing Center in Lubbock, Texas.
Valcee and Bettie Cox celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary with their family at a restaurant in Paris, France Aug. 17.
Mr. and Mrs. Cox, retired school teachers, were joined at the celebration by their son, Alan Cox and his daughter, Genevieve Cox, who live in Austin. There were also joined by their daughter, Amy Kinsey and her daughter Ally Kinsey, who live in Westminster, Colo. The Coxes were presented a 50th Anniversary decorative plate and treated to 10 days of sightseeing with their family.
Susan Zack and Bob Lewis were married August 26, 1963 in El Paso, Texas. They met and have lived in
Big Spring most of their married life.¬†
Together they've built a successful business, become vital members of the community, raised a family and their friendship and partnership continue to thrive.
The couple recently celebrated their Golden Anniversary on a cruise with their sons Kevin and BZ and their families.
Pat J. Porter, Silver ‚Äď Haired Legislator for the Permian Basin area, with 99 other legislators from across Texas convened in Austin July 14 ‚Äď 18, 2013 for the initial meeting of the 15th Texas Silver ‚Äď Haired Legislature (TSHL).
Thirty-four new members were introduced as representatives from among the 28 Texas Area Agencies on Aging serving the state's seniors. The legal formation of the 15th TSHL was completed within the chambers of the Texas House of Representatives as all attending members were administered the formal Oath of Office by Texas Secretary of State John Steen.
Helena Kimberly Rodriguez, a girl, was born May 10, 2013 at 5:08 a.m. She weighed 7 pounds 15.7 ounces and was 21 inches long.
She is the daughter of Samantha and David Rodriguez of Big Spring. Maternal grandparents are Becky Salgado and the late, Simon Alcantar. Paternal grandparents are the late Mary Rios and Moso Rios; and Thomas and Virginia Rodriguez.
Helena was welcomed home by big brother Brandon Robert Lee Rodriguez.
