ARLINGTON — Florentino Ariaz Doporto Jr., 62, a retired U.S. Army first sergeant, passed away unexpectedly in his hometown of Big Spring, on Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Jude Catholic Church, Mansfield. Interment will follow at 1:45 p.m. in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with a rosary at 7 p.m., at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington.

COLORADO CITY — Mr. Pete Orona, age 51, of Colorado City, died Tuesday in a Stanton hospital. Services will be Friday, Jan. 14, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Saint Ann’s Catholic Church with Father Michael Udegbunam officiating. Burial will follow at Mitchell County Cemetery. There will be a Rosary at the Funeral Home on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, at 7 p.m. All arrangements will be under the care and direction of Kiker-Seale Funeral Home.
