Aloma Maynard Hobdy, 74, of Big Spring, passed away Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, at her residence. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Midway Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Binnix and the Rev. Walter McCall officiating. Burial will follow in Coahoma Cemetery.
Lucille Knox, 95, died peacefully in Big Spring, surrounded by friends and loved ones on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011. A memorial will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Big Spring on Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Ed Williamson and the Rev. Sharon Wiese, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Another memorial will be held in Lebanon, Tenn., on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2011.
Marcie E. Noble, 69, of Big Spring, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
Dorothy Newby, 82, of Big Spring, died Friday, Jan. 28, 2011, in a local hospital. Her services are pending with Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
