Lumina Flores Lopez, of Big Spring passed away on Monday, Oct. 3, 2011 at Midland Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011 at 10 a.m. at Kingdom Hall-Jehova Witnesses, 1500 Wasson Road, Big Spring 79720.
She is survived by her children, Eladio Zubiate, Fidel Lopez, Albert Barrera, Ray Gutierrez, Carlos Rodriguez, and Carmen Alicia Rodriguez-Huerta.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
Gerald R. “Z” Ziebart, 70, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011 at his residence. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.

Jimmy Grant, 66, of Big Spring died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2011, at his residence. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside services with military honors will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, at Coahoma Cemetery with Chaplain Lynn Robertson of Compass Hospice officiating.
He was born Sept. 13, 1945, in Devine, Texas, to Gertrude and Albert Grant. He has been a lifetime resident of Howard County. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from October 1964 until September 1967. He was a Baptist.
Phyllis Pettigrew Sparks, 88, of Cedar Park, formerly of Big Spring died Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, in a Cedar Park nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Rick Cunningham officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, at the funeral home.
Jerry Neil Easterling, 75, of Big Spring died Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, in a Midland hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park with full military honors.

Johnnie B. Weeks, 92, of Mesquite, formerly of Big Spring died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at her daughter Beth's home. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Royce Clay and Rick Cunningham officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at the funeral home.

Eligio "Lee" Viasana, 59, of Big Spring died Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, at his residence. Vigil services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.
Lee was born April 4, 1952, in Iraan, Texas. He came to Big Spring as a young man and worked in the oil fields. He later began working for the Big Spring Independent School District.
