Jean Hart, 78, of Big Spring, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
Elidia R. Herrera, 65, of Lakeway, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, in an Lakeway nursing home. Her services are pending with Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
Ventura G. “Raymond” Martinez, 65, of Knott died Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2011, at his residence. Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, at Myers & Smith Chapel. Burial will follow at Ackerly Cemetery.
He was born July 14, 1946, in Charcas San Luis, Potosi to Matilia and Isabel H. Martinez. He has been a resident of Knott for more than 40 years, where he was a farmer. He married Elvira Cerna on Jan. 31, 1973, in Lovington, N.M. He most recently pastured Templo Central De Alabanza Church.
Emma Gene Chandler, 84, of Big Spring died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at First Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Mark Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olive Memorial Park.
Joyce Harris, 82, of Big Spring died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at her residence. The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, at Myers & Smith Chapel with the Rev. Don Snipes officiating. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. at the Sweetwater Cemetery.
Cynthia Middleton, 68, of Big Spring died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, at her daughter’s residence. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel.
Martha Cargile Fielder, 87, of Abilene, formerly of Big Spring died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2011, in an Abilene hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Mike Couch officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, at the funeral home.
