Robert E. âDogâ Jones Sr., 64, of Big Spring, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, at his residence. His services are pending with Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
Johnnie L. Mondey, 70, of Big Spring, died Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
Joseph Garcia Luna, âJo Jo,â age 22, of Odessa died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011, at his home. He was born in Odessa on Feb. 17, 1989. He worked as a waiter at Tequila Tonyâs Mexican Restaurant.
Survivors include his father, Gilbert Luna and wife Rosa Garcia; mother, Cynthia Ann (Garcia) Ponce and husband Luis; maternal great-grandparents, Sabino and Josefa Garcia; maternal grandmother, Mary Jo Pineda; paternal grandmother, Felicita L. Valenzuela; and an uncle, Luis Luna, all of Odessa.
Bill Bennett, 80, of Sand Springs, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at Midway Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Binnix officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
Bill was born March 22, 1931, in Vincent, Texas, and married Johnnie Padgett on Oct. 7, 1950 in Forsan.
He was employed for 36 years at the Cosden Refinery, now Alon USA, as an operator.
He was a member of Midway Baptist Church.
