Dean Forrest, 84, passed away peacefully Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at First United Methodist Church, Fourth and Scurry Street, Big Spring, Texas, at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, with pastors Dr. Keith Wiseman and the Rev. Bill Ivins officiating. A reception will follow in Garrett Hall.
Dean, son of W.H. and Jewell Forrest, was born Nov. 22, 1927, in the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Tom Rogers. He was a lifetime resident of Howard County, Texas.
W.C. “Curley” Hayes, 91, of Cleburne passed away Dec. 24, 2011, following a lengthy illness. Born Jan. 27, 1920, in Linden, Texas, to Ira and Lois Hayes, Curley had three sisters, Bertha, Oleta and Oneta and two brothers, Joe and Doyle. He wed Rita Duren in Big Spring, Texas, on Aug. 4, 1943.
Robert E. Dalsing Sr., 46, of Big Spring died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, in a Snyder hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Ron Sears officiating. Graveside services will be at noon Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene.
He was born Oct. 20, 1965, in Independence, Kan., and married Robyn Watson on Aug. 27, 1987, in Olathe, Kan.
Robert was currently serving as the pastor at Birdwell Lane Baptist Church in Big Spring and as a chaplain with Howard County.
