Denver Leeon Pettitt, 77, of Big Spring died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at the 14th and Main Church of Christ with Rick Cunningham and Doyle Maynard officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at the funeral home.
Leeon was born May 3, 1934, in Hermleigh, Texas, and married Patsy Gotcher on Nov. 29, 1957, in Big Spring, Texas. She preceded him in death April 25, 1998. He then married Donna Hunter on Nov. 20, 1998.
Leah Risetter Cooper, 90, of Big Spring died Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, at Marcy House. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Alive in Christ Lutheran Church with the Rev. Carroll Kohl officiating.
She was born Nov. 8, 1921, in Concord, Iowa to Clara and C.M. Pearson. She married Alan Risetter on Dec. 2, 1940. He preceded her in death in 1970.
They moved to Big Spring in 1963 from Marshal Town, Iowa. She later married Claude Cooper in 1988 and he preceded her in death in 2001. She owned and operated the Desert Sands Motel and Restaurant. She later cooked at Brass Nail.
Don W. Williams, 67, of Big Spring died Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, in a Lubbock hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. David Robertson and the Rev. Bill Ivins officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at the funeral home.
He was born January 15, 1944, in Loraine, Texas, and married Elizabeth Pickett on March 11, 1967, in Stanton, Texas.

Curtis Linden "Nick" Nichols, 64, of Etowah, Tenn., died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at home after a long battle with cancer.
He was born Sept. 14, 1947, in Etowah. He was stationed at Webb Air Force Base in Big Spring, Texas, during the Vietnam War and lived there until 1990. He then returned to Etowah, where he worked for Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts and later retired from Napa Auto Parts in Athens, Tenn.
Martha Grant, 86, of Big Spring, formerly of Fort Worth died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date at D.F.W. National Cemetery.
She was born May 31, 1925, in Forth Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, to Ella (McCaskill) Lusk and John Franklin Lusk. She married Forrest Grey Grant Jr. on May 16, 1947. He preceded her in death Dec. 7, 1997.
TULIA — Elida “Lillie” Granado, 76, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2011, in Amarillo. A funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, in the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit with the Rev. Marcos Gonzales officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A rosary service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011, at the funeral home.
Ramona M. Tijerina, 62, of Big Spring died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at Hospice Inpatient Unit of Midland. Vigil services will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at Myers & Smith Chapel with the Rev. Doug Shelley and the Rev. Jeff Davison officiating. Burial will follow at Coahoma Cemetery.
Jackie Faye Bowden, 78, of Big Spring died Monday, Dec. 12, 2011, in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2011, at the funeral home.
Jackie was born Oct. 5, 1933, in Lubbock, Texas, to Tom and Opal Williams. She married Horace Bowden on Feb. 24, 1956. She was a housewife, mother, grandmother and a member of Midway Baptist Church.
