William Henry Cox, MD, 79, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at his residence. A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Funeral mass will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Monsignor Bernard Gully officiating. Interment will follow at Lamesa Memorial Park, Lamesa, Texas.
He was born Jan. 31, 1932, in Lubbock, Texas.
Gary Wollenzien, 61, of Fort Worth died Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, in a Fort Worth hospice. A memorial service was held Sunday, Aug. 14, 2011, at Holy Shepherd Lutheran Church in Haslet.
Gary was born Feb. 17, 1950, in Laramie, Wyo., to Bob and Geraldine Wollenzien. He married Bonnie Kay Fritzler on Sept. 2, 1972. He was retired following a 30-year career with the YMCA. He was employed by the Big Spring YMCA as an executive director from 1988 to 1998. While in Big Spring, he was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Thomas Anthony “Hamp” Burcham, 89, of Big Spring, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Gary Plew and Charlie Ackerson officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
There will be a visitation for family and friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, at the funeral home.
