Joe W. Blassingame, 76, of Big Spring died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012, in a local nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with the Rev. Joey Bacon officiating.
He was born Jan. 28, 1935, in Mitchell County, Texas, and married Venita Hogg on Feb. 5, 1955 in Ackerly. She preceded him in death on Dec. 10, 2005.
Marion B. Wilkerson, 80, of Garden City died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012, in a local hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012, at Garden City Cemetery with Tom Koger officiating.
Marion was born March 18, 1931, in Big Spring, Texas, and married Helen Nickell on Sept. 24, 1960, in Midland.
He was a lifelong resident of Glasscock County and graduated from Garden City High School in 1949. He was also a lifelong rancher.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
Robert Henry Long, 87, died Monday, Jan. 2, 2012, in a local nursing home. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at the Nalley-PIckle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Internment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park, Big Spring, Texas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory, Big Spring, Texas.
Steven Wayne Brackett, 56, formerly of Big Spring, passed away Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Heart of Worship Church, 19101 FM 1730, Lubbock, Texas.
