January 24th
Funeral services were held for Mona Faye Tinsley Walker Holman, 82, at the Chapel of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Homer on Friday, Dec. 16, 2011, at 10 a.m. with Dr. Shelby Cowling, officiating. Interment followed at Old Town Cemetery in Haynesville.
Mrs. Holman was born Sept. 6, 1929, in the Standpipe Community near Homer to Roy Clyde and Myra Ione Beavers Tinsley. Mrs. Holman retired from the First Guaranty Bank in Homer as vice president, with a career that spanned more than 39 years including time at Security State Bank in Big Spring.
Penny Lou Linebaugh, 46, of Big Spring died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2012, at her residence. Family memorial services and interment will be held at a later date in Ohio.
She was born May 28, 1965, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Bonnie and Dale Paden. She received her bachelor’s degree and worked as a paralegal. She came to Texas seven years ago and married Thomas Don Mitchell in July 2011 in Big Spring.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Mitchell of Big Spring; five brothers, Bill, Dale, Ronnie, Scott and Kevin Paden, all of Ohio; and one sister, Lori Grobalchak of Ohio.
Kevin Brent Matteson, 51, of Sand Springs died Sunday at his residence. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.

Wilma Grice, 84, of Big Spring died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, in a Greenville, Texas, nursing home. Her services are pending with Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
John D. Pool Jr., 78, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Big Spring died Friday, Jan. 20, 2012, in Orlando. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
Daniel Paul Breyman, 34, of Odessa died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, in an auto accident in Martin County. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at The Church of Christ of Latter-day Saints in Odessa with President Jerry Zant officiating. Interment will follow at Andrews North Cemetery in Andrews.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at the funeral home.
June Leota Bingham McCracken, 86, died peacefully at home Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, surrounded by family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Dr. Randy Cotton, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Erlinda L. Fierro, 82, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2012, at St. Luke’s Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Services will be held Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 7893 Grissom Rd., San Antonio, Texas, 78250.
She was born Nov. 25, 1929, in Big Spring, Texas, the first of 10 children born to the late Jose H. Lopez and Juanita H. Lopez.
June Bingham McCracken, 86, of Big Spring, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at her son's residence.Her services are pending with Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
Frances Bell Sain Thornton, 93, of Georgetown, Texas, and formerly of San Antonio, Texas, died Jan. 12, 2012.
Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, 2012, in the Chapel of Mission Park South Funeral Home in San Antonio, Texas. Interment will follow in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
