Calvin “Rusty” Hamilton, 79, of Big Spring died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 p.m. Sunday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at Myers & Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Wilson, pastor of Baptist Temple Church, officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
Rita Daniel Palmer, 79, of Big Spring died Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at Midway Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Binnix and Chaplain Walter McCall officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
Rita was born Aug. 30, 1932, in Comanche County, Texas, and married Philip Palmer on Feb. 13, 1957, in Howard County, Texas. He preceded in death on May 14, 1987.
James L. “Jimmy” Welch, 66, of Big Spring died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock from injuries sustained in a fall at his home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, at the funeral home.
He was born Aug. 23, 1945, in Temple, Texas, to Edwina (Baggett) and Thomas Welch Sr. He married Susie Horbath on Dec. 8, 1972, in Big Spring.
