Our beloved mother and grandmother answered her final trumpet call on Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at the age of 86. She has gone home to be with our Heavenly Father, and to rejoice with family who has gone before her.
Emma Dean Baggett, 101, formerly of Big Spring and mother of James Michael Baggett and Janice B. Deats, died Feb. 15, 2012, at the Pine Harbour Assisted Living Facility in Plattsburgh, N.Y.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rex Baggett.
Born April 1, 1910, in Decatur, Texas, Emma taught kindergarten and trained kindergarten teachers for 30 years at First United Methodist Church in Big Spring. She also served as secretary to Dr. Anthony Hunt, former president of Howard College.
