Deidra Whatley, 84, of Bandera, formerly of Big Spring died Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at Bandera Rehab and Health Center. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Myers & Smith Chapel with burial at Trinity Memorial Park.
Deidra was born July 10, 1927, at Texon, Texas, to Mildred and A.O. Vanderford. She married Tommy Whatley on Jan. 29, 1947, in Big Spring. He preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 1992.

Felipe Lerma Villa, 69, of Big Spring, died Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at his daughter's residence. Vigil services will be 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
Janet Sue Harrington, 58, of Big Spring died Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at her residence. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, at Mount Olive Memorial Park with Maj. Orville Chambless of the Salvation Army officiating.
Cynthia Kay Watts, 68, of San Angelo passed away Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at a local hospital. Family visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Johnson's Funeral Home. The service will follow at 3 p.m. in Johnson's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Nathaniel Hankins of First United Methodist Church officiating. Cynthia is survived by her brother, Michael Francis; and daughter, Amber Alexander of San Angelo; son, Todd Beckham of Conroe, Texas; and daughter Shauna Flett of Entiat, Wash.

Bruce C. Broughton, 57, of La Porte, Texas, passed away Feb. 23, 2012, in Ingram, Texas, after a sudden illness. Mr. Broughton was born Nov. 2, 1954, to W.D. “Slim” and Alberta “Pew” Broughton. He grew up in Big Spring and graduated from Big Spring High in 1972. He was employed by Circuit Breaker Sales & Repair in Deer Park, Texas, as an electrician.
Survivors include his mother, Alberta “Pew” Broughton of Big Spring; his brother, Bryan and wife Sharon of La Vernia, Texas; his favorite nephew, Blake Dean Broughton of La Vernia; and numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
