Ralph A. Halfmann, 83, of St. Lawrence died Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, in a San Angelo hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the St. Lawrence Cemetery.
A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 17, 2012, at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church.
He was born Sept. 28, 1928, in Rowena and married Mary Alberta Holder Oct. 5, 1949, in Rowena. She preceded him in death March 2, 2004. Together, they farmed in St. Lawrence for more than 54 years.
Evelyn Maxine Johnson, 88, of Duncanville, formerly of Big Spring died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, in a Duncanville nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 18, 2012, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with the Rev. Joey Bacon officiating.
She was born Dec. 22, 1923, in Richland, Navarro County, Texas and married Thomas Duke (TD) Johnson Jr. in 1940 in Big Spring. They were married for 59 years until his death in 2000.
The daughter of Richard Allen and Mattie Clyde Fullen, she grew up in Forsan and Big Spring.
Joe Molina Ledesma, 50, of Odessa, formerly of Big Spring died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas. Prayer services were at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Burial will follow in Trinity Memorial Park.
He was born July 12, 1962, in Spur, Texas, to Maria and Alfredo Ledesma. He had been a resident of Big Spring for most of his life. He married Gabriella Salmeron. He was a painter by trade and a Catholic.
