August 25th
Murphy Allen Woodson, 76, was born Dec. 21, 1935, in Coahoma, Texas, and died July 14, 2012, in San Antonio, Texas.
He had chosen to be cremated.
He graduated from Coahoma High School, attended Howard College for one year and attended Tennessee Temple College, graduating in 1957.
Following summer classes from Baylor University he taught school for three years. In 1963, he joined the Air Force serving 21 years as a flying AWACS radar officer, retiring as a major in 1984.
William Dupree of Big Spring, Texas, was born Jan. 4, 1975, and died peacefully in his home Aug. 21, 2012. William has been taken to the Kingdom of Heaven, but will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved him.
William graduated from Big Spring High School and Sul Ross University. Over his short life he brought joy to those around him.
He is survived by many friends, his parents, William Dale and Pat Dupree; brother, Kinney Dupree; and niece and nephew, Alexandria and Drake.
Jonnie Spruill, 87, of Big Spring, died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at Kristi Lee Manor Nursing Home, in Colorado City. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, in the Chapel at Mount Olive Memorial Park with Chaplain Walter McCall of Compass Hospice.

Randell Eston Hollis, 41, of Big Spring died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Pat Ray, pastor of Prairie View Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
He was born Oct. 21, 1970, in Big Spring, Texas.
Jonnie Spruill, 87, of Big Spring died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at Kristi Lee Manor Nursing Home in Colorado City. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, 2012, in the Chapel at Mount Olive Memorial Park with Chaplain Walter McCall of Compass Hospice officiating.
She was born Dec. 18, 1924, in Big Spring, Texas, to Bernice and John Digby. She was a lifetime resident of Howard County.

Manuel De Los Rios, 79, of Big Spring died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at Hospice of Midland Inpatient Unit. Prayer services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012, at Myers & Smith Chapel with Elder Eliseo Gamboa officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Lamesa Cemetery in Lamesa, Texas, with Trinidad Sanchez officiating.

Manuel De Los Rios, 79, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at Hospice of Midland Inpatient Unit. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
William Dale Dupree II, 37, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at his residence. His services are pending with Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.

Eldon Cook left this world to be with his heavenly father Monday, Aug. 20, 2012. Eldon was born Aug. 11, 1923, in Stamford, Texas, in the home of his parents, James Ollie and Willy Katherine (Hornsby) Cook.
Julie Ann Hallford Mince, 39, of Big Spring, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:30 p.m until 8 p.m at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Myers & Smith Chapel with burial at Trinity Memorial Park.
She was born on Sept. 30, 1972, in Big Spring, Texas. and was a lifelong resident of Big Spring, attending Marcy Elementary, Goliad Middle school, Runnels Junior High and Big Spring High. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother.
