Bonnie “Bunky” Griffis, 68, of Kerrville, formerly of Big Spring died Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at her residence. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Memorial Park.
She was born June 24, 1944, in Big Spring to Clara and Lewis White. She moved to Kerrville in 2009. She was a cook and had been employed at Texas Instruments in Midland/Odessa.
L.C. Hurst, 83, of Big Spring died Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment with Masonic rites will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.
He was born Jan. 24, 1929, in De Kalb, Texas, and married Virginia Conley on May 3, 1966, in Denver City, Texas. She preceded him in death June 3, 1992.
Joe H. Whirley died at 12:55 a.m. Sept. 8, 2012, at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 91. He was born in Windom, Texas, on March 23, 1921. The Colorado City area was home to him in his youth and he was saved at the Dorn Chapel in 1937.
