Robert Henry “Bob” Long, 87 of Big Spring died on Monday, Jan. 2, 2012. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 5, 2011, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Chaplain Cherise Felty officiating. Internment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park with military honors.
Chris Castanuela, 27, of Big Spring died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Chapel with burial at Trinity Memorial Park.
He was born March 16, 1984, in Stamford, Texas. He worked as a driller for oil companies, including Basic, Patterson, Nabors and Robinson. He lived most of his life in Big Spring.

Joe W. Blassingame, 76, of Big Spring died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012, in a local nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with the Rev. Joey Bacon officiating.
He was born Jan. 28, 1935, in Mitchell County, Texas, and married Venita Hogg on Feb. 5, 1955 in Ackerly. She preceded him in death on Dec. 10, 2005.
Marion B. Wilkerson, 80, of Garden City died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012, in a local hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2012, at Garden City Cemetery with Tom Koger officiating.
Marion was born March 18, 1931, in Big Spring, Texas, and married Helen Nickell on Sept. 24, 1960, in Midland.
He was a lifelong resident of Glasscock County and graduated from Garden City High School in 1949. He was also a lifelong rancher.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church.

Steven Wayne Brackett, 56, formerly of Big Spring, passed away Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012.
