Joe Lozano Jr., 61, of Big Spring died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, in a Midland hospital. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.
He was born Aug. 11, 1951, in Austin, Texas, and moved to Big Spring in 1958. Joe had worked for the Big Spring State Hospital and at Branham's Furniture. He was a member of Iglesia Bautista Le Fe.
January 23rd
Mary Ann Abreo Ficke went to be with Jesus on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, after a long fight battling cancer. She was 62 years old. She was born in Big Spring, Texas, to Domingo and Luz Abreo on Sept. 3, 1950. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Hope DaSilva and Fe Acosta; and brother, Salvador Abreo.
Royce "Booger" Pruit, 75, of Garden City died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, in a Sterling City nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at the Garden City Cemetery in Garden City, Texas.
He was born Sept. 13, 1937, in Lovington, N.M., and married Beverly Cox on June 8, 1956, in Lovington, N.M.
Royce came to Garden City from Penwell and graduated from Garden City High School. He started working as a deputy sheriff for Glasscock County in 1958 and was appointed sheriff in 1962.
Mary Nell "Molly" Butler, 83, of Tyler, formerly of Big Spring died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, in a Tyler hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Chaplain Rick Foster officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at the funeral home.
She was born June 24, 1929, in Houston, Texas, and married Dr. Lee Butler on April 28, 1950, in Houston. He preceded her in death Feb. 20, 1997.

James C. Kelly, 87, of Big Spring died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with Andy Glenn, grandson, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at the funeral home.
James was born April 9, 1925, in Brown County, Texas, and married Bea Kelly on Aug. 28, 1947, in Forney, Texas.

Gordie Gilbert, 93, of Big Spring died Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, in a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at the Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel with the Rev. Pat Ray officiating.
Gordie was born Sept. 27, 1919, in Wills Point, Texas, and married Hubert Gilbert in March of 1937 in Wills Point. He preceded her in death Nov. 3, 1999.
She was a farmer's wife, helping with all the farming duties and then became an LVN, working at Hall-Bennett Hospital for 20 years. She was a member of Prairie View Baptist Church.
