Dixie Marie (Ballard) McClellan, 69, of Big Spring passed away Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at her home after a short battle with cancer.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home in Big Spring. Services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Pat Ray, pastor of Prairieview Baptist Church, officiating.
Dixie was born in Medford, Ore., on Feb. 7, 1943, to Edgar and Martha Ballard.
Meredith Kendall, 38, of Big Spring died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. Services will be at a later date.
She was born May 12, 1974. She was an accountant for the Indianapolis Pacers. She moved to Big Spring from Terlingua in 2008.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Caldwell of Big Spring; one son, Carson Kendall of Big Spring; and her mother, Annette Thompson of Indiana.

Maria Del Carmen âCarmelitaâ Nieto, 80, of Big Spring died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at Parkview Nursing Center. Vigil service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Myers & Smith Chapel, with funeral services following at 2 p.m. at Myers & Smith Chapel. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
She was born Oct. 6, 1932, in San Antonio to Francisca Nieto and Pedro Barerra. She moved to Big Spring more than 30 years ago from Falls City, Texas. She worked as a housekeeper and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
David Cortez Chavarria, 57, of Big Spring died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock. Visitation and viewing will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday.
He was born Oct. 22, 1955, in Adrian, Michigan to Benita and Bruno Chavarria. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1975 until 1978, serving in the Infantry-Recon. He moved to Big spring in 1978. He worked as a welder, also at Burger King and Jiffy Car Wash. He was a Catholic.
Roger Dale Soles, 69, of Big Spring died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at his residence. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
