Thersa Verdell McKnight Stifflemire, 89, of Sweeny, Texas, passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at Emerus Hospital in Sugarland, Texas.
She was born June 18, 1923, in Kelsey, Texas, to Samuel McKnight and Gladys Corilla Luton.
A.J. Cain, 84, of Midland died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, in a local care facility. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Resthaven Memorial Park. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Grace Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include daughters Chris Laufer and Diane Warner; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two sisters.
