AMARILLO â€” Dudley McKaskle, 83, died June 28, 2013. Graveside services were held Monday, July 1, 2013, in Memorial Park Cemetery with Lance Herrington officiation.. Cox Funeral Home handled arrangements.
Mr. McKaskle was born Oct, 23, 1929, in Monroe, La., to Moncue and Vergie McKaskle. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He married Pat Everett on Nov. 19, 1954, in Big Spring. He farmed in Martin County until 1968. After working for defense contractors in the Fort Worth area, he moved to Amarillo in 1970. He retired from Pantex in 1994.
James Steven Gill, 63, died suddenly June 17, 2013.
Born Feb. 20, 1950, in Canton, Ill., to James C. Gill and Mary Matkovich Gill, James was a longtime resident of Carlisle, Ky., and graduated from Nicholas County High School. Residing in Big Spring, New Braunfels and San Antonio, Texas, he always considered Big Spring his adopted hometown.
James is survived by his wife of 44 years, Sheila Fisher Gill and his four children, son Steven and wife Kristine of Houston, Texas, son Jamie Gill, daughter Pam Gill and son Jeff and wife Jennifer, all of San Antonio, Texas.
Zachary Hank Williamson, 28, of Big Spring died Monday, July 8, 2013, in a local hospital. Graveside services will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2013, at the Vealmoor Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 22, 1984, in Big Spring, Texas.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Kelly and Joe Zant Jr. of Vealmoor; grandmother, Sandra Williamson of Big Spring; three brothers, Seth Williamson, Zane Williamson and Skyler Williamson, all of Vealmoor; a sister, Kimberly Meegan and husband Jim of Fort Polk, La.; and a stepbrother, Jake Zant and wife Steph of Moore, Okla.
J. Dudley Cotz, 63, of Big Spring died Saturday, July 6, 2013, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at the Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Joey Bacon officiating.
J. Dudley was born June 2, 1950, in Tucson, Ariz., to Delight Carrie Evans Cotz and Melvin Clyde Cotz and married Darlene Bursch on May 11, 1998, in Kermit, Texas. He was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy from 1969 to 1973. After his tour in the Navy he worked in the oilfield and Carlsbad potash mines. He also worked in law enforcement.
Maria Concepcion YaĂ±ez (Concha) was called to join all the Angels and Saints in the Heavens above on July 2, 2013. Concha was born Dec. 8, 1923, in Huejotitan Chihuahua, Mexico, to Severiano and Faustina YaĂ±ez.
Our loving mother, Guadalupe â€śLupeâ€ť Cevallos, 88, left to be with our Lord and â€śEl amor de su vida,â€ť Mario on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, in Dallas, Texas. Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2013, at St. Annâ€™s Catholic Church Chapel with Monsignor Larry Droll officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring, Texas. Rosary Vigil will be held Sunday, July 7, 2013, at 7 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Chapel.
Robert Lee Park, 16, of Big Spring, died Thursday, July 4, 2013, in a local hospital due to Duschenne Muscular Dystrophy. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2013, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.
Robert was born Sept. 16, 1996, in Big Spring, Texas.
Survivors include his parents, Bruce and Josette Park of Big Spring; one sister, Rosie Park of Big Spring; one brother, Chris Park of Dallas; his grandfather, John Park; and his aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.
Doris Marie Sadler, 84, of Stanton died Friday, July 5, 2013, at her residence. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, July 8, 2013, at the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel, Stanton.
Doris was born Feb.24, 1929, in Martin County and married Billy Sadler in 1951 in Midland. He preceded her in death June 16, 1979.
Doris and Billy moved to Lubbock soon after marriage and then to the Brownfield area where they owned and operated a grain elevator. Doris also worked as a bank teller and bookkeeper for several businesses.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Stanton.
Eugenio Martinez Arellano, 50, and wife, Maria Rodriguez Lownes, 61, of Big Spring died Monday, July 1, 2013, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2013, at the Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. Inurnment will follow at Coahoma Cemetery.
A vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2013, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel.
Eugenio was born March 29, 1963, in Childress. Maria was born June 10, 1952, in Knott. They had been together for 22 years and were inseparable.
