James Richard "Dick" Conley, 58, of Big Spring died Wednesday, April 10, 2013, in a local hospital. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013, at the First Presbyterian Church.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Friday, April 12, 2013, at the funeral home.
Dick was born Oct. 15, 1954, in Amarillo, Texas, and married Janie Wooten on July 1, 1978, in Hobbs, N.M.

Reginald 'Reggie' Dawson

Reginald “Reggie” Dawson, 48, of Big Spring died Tuesday, April 9, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor Johnny Ray Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

Reginald was born Jan. 22, 1965, in Big Spring, Texas, to the parents of the late E.S. (Sam) Dawson and Jo Hazel Dawson. He graduated from Big Spring High School in 1983 and was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church. Reggie worked at Furr’s, Hermans, Safeway and later partnered with his father’s janitorial service.

Dunamis Griffith, 62, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2013, in San Angelo. Graveside services will be held at Grape Creek Cemetery in Grape Creek, Texas, on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at 11 a.m.

He was proceeded in death by his father, M.O., and mother, Glennie Griffith; and a sister, Jackie Rupyard.

He is survived by a brother, Dustin Griffith of Fort Worth; and two sisters, Dawn Powell of Coahoma and Jan Hyden of San Angelo.

Services will be affiliated by Chaplin Art Taylor of Intrim Hospice. Services are entrusted to Heritage Family Funeral Home of Ballinger, Texas.

Jim Hal Parks passed away March 30, 2013, in Colorado City, Texas. Graveside services with military honors for Mr. Parks were held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2013, at Pioneer Cemetery in Graham, Texas. McMillan-Satterwhite Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Parks was born Jan. 28, 1925, in Desdemona, Texas, and moved to Graham in 1991 from Gainesville, Texas. He was a retired utility sales consultant and a member of the Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Sharon M. Ballenger

Sharon M. Ballenger, 75, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away March 29, 2013, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

Sharon was born Dec. 22, 1937, in Stamford, Texas, to Jesse and Leola (Herron) Tucker. She graduated high school in Rule, Texas, in 1956 and earned a degree in elementary education from Hardin-Simmons University in 1960.

On Feb. 14, 1960, Sharon was united in marriage with William A. Ballenger. To this union three children were born. Sharon furthered her education at U.N.O., earning her master’s degree in counseling in 1976.

Jeffrey David Flowers, 57, of Big Spring died Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Home Hospice House in Odessa. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene.

He was born May 20, 1955, in Toledo Ohio to Doris and Richard Flowers. He was married to Cynthia Flowers. He was a self-employed carpenter and a Vietnam veteran.
