Ruben Anthony Gonzales Sr., 31, of Big Spring died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, in an automobile accident in Dawson County. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. tonight in the Lady of Guadalupe Parish Hall at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial at Mount Olive Memorial Park. 
Ruben was born June 13, 1983, in Big Spring, Texas, to Maria (Brito) and Jose R. Gonzales. He was a lifetime resident of Big Spring and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He was a driller for Patterson Drilling Company.

Stevan Valencia Jr. 34, of Big Spring died Thursday, Dec, 4, 2014, in an automobile accident in Dawson County. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. tonight in the Lady of Guadalupe Parish Hall at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial at Mount Olive Memorial Park. 
Stevan was born Nov. 26, 1980, in Big Spring, Texas, to Delma (Hinojos) and Estevan Valencia Sr. He was a lifetime resident of Big Spring and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He was a driller for Robinson Drilling.

Barbara Clayton Anderson

Barbara Clayton Anderson was born Jan. 30, 1929, in Lubbock, Texas, to Jerry Bernard Clayton and Mary Dickinson Clayton. She died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2014, at her home on the Muleshoe Ranch.

Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, at Christ Church Anglican, 5501 North Midkiff Road, Midland, Texas 79705.

Charlotte Smith

Charlotte Smith, 77, of Big Spring died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2014, at her residence. Graveside services were at noon Saturday at Trinity Memorial Park.

She was born Oct. 7, 1937, in Angerburg, East Prussia to Elisabeth and Johannes Podehl. She married John Calvin Smith on Nov. 19, 1955, in Germany. He preceded her in death in 1998. They came to Big Spring in 1967. She was a homemaker and worked with her husband in American Hardwood Floor Service, later Smith Hardwood Floor Service. She was a Lutheran.

Sabrina Cuviello, 46, of Big Spring, died Thursday, Dec. 4, in an Abilene hospital. Her services are pending with Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory.

Don H. Mitchell

Don H. Mitchell, 85, a west Texas native and Big Spring resident, died Nov. 24. A veteran of the Korean War, he served with the 634th Armored Infantry Battalion at the “Frozen Chosin”.
He attended McMurry on a football scholarship before the war, finishing college at West Texas State prior to careers in insurance in Midland, Corpus Christi, and Dallas; and restoration contracting in Dallas.
He married and divorced three times: Jane, Betty, and Lois. He had three children with Jane — Nan, Tom, and Laurie. He has five grandchildren.

Craig Sparks

Craig Sparks, 72, of Garden City, Texas, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, in San Angelo, Texas. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Garden City with Pastor Danny Whitehead officiating.
Craig was born July 5, 1942, in San Angelo to Jake and Vivian Sparks. He moved from Sterling City, Texas, to Garden City in 1971. He worked 17 years for the Texas Department of Transportation and 25 years for Wagner and Brown Ltd. He retired in 2005.
