Joan Barber Gainey, 80, of Big Spring, died Friday, May 9, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2014, at the First Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Mark Lindsey, pastor, officiating. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Colorado City Cemetery, Colorado City, Texas.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
She was born Sept. 4, 1933, in Colorado City, Texas and married Harold Gainey Sept. 14, 1951, in Westbrook, Texas.
Joe "Old_Horse" Kerby, 67, of Sand Springs, died Thursday, May 8, 2014, in an Odessa hospital. Funeral services will be held at a later date.
He was born July 17, 1946, in Big Spring, Texas and married Jan Kerby Aug. 16, 1978, in Big Spring.
He was a lifelong resident of Big Spring and had worked for L.G. Nix Dirt Company for 28 years and Chapman Construction for 15 years. He also owned and operated Kerby Construction.
Joe Kerby, 67, of Big Spring, died Thursday, May 8, 2014 in an Odessa hospital. Services are pending with Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
Mary Hall Jennings, 65, of Big Spring, died Monday, May 5, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2014, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014, at the funeral home.
She was born July 15, 1948, in Big Spring, Texas and married W.B. "Bill" Jennings Oct. 5, 1974, in Fluvanna, Texas. He preceded her in death November 19, 2008.
Hulen Autry (Ike) McKinney, 86, of Bellevue, Wash. died Thursday, May 1, 2014.
Hulenâ€™s wife and daughters will receive friends and family from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 8, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, May 9, at the Mt. Olive Memorial Park Chapel.
Hulen is proceeded in death by his parents, Albert (Dutch) and Katheryne (Cassie) McKinney; and his brother, Donald. Hulen graduated from Big Spring High School and graduated from Texas A&M University in 1952.
Peggy Sue Williams, 72, of Coahoma, died Wednesday at Martin County Hospital in Stanton. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Coahoma Cemetery with Pastor Doug Shelley of East Side Baptist Church officiating.
Lorina Ontiveros, 59, of Big Spring, died Wednesday, May 7, 2014, at her residence. Vigil services will be 7 p.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, with burial following at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
Billie Smith McLain, 89, of Colorado City, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Trinity Memorial Park with the Rev. Joey Bacon officiating.

Cecil Sherman, 48, of Big Spring, died Sunday, May 4, 2014 at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. tonight at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Chapel.
He was born in Big Spring on Feb. 3, 1966 to Helen and Omer Sherman. He was a lifetime resident of Howard County. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for B & E Roustabout.
Jean Range, 89, of Big Spring, died Friday, April 25, 2014 at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. A Remembrance Service will be held on May 9, 2014 at First United Methodist Church Garrett Hall at 5 p.m. She will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery at Dallas/Fort Worth.
Jean was born March 17, 1925, in Clarendon, Texas to Loxie Mae Boles and June W. Taylor. She married Edgar Byron Range Jr. on March 17, 1947 and he preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 2012.
