Donald Eugene Webb was born in Rule, Texas on Nov. 1, 1928. On Tuesday, June 24, 2014, he made a peaceful journey from this life to the next to be reunited in paradise with his parents, Percy and Elva Webb and his brother Darwin Webb.
He is survived by his faithful friend and love of his life, Barbara Hitt, Bluff Dale, Texas; three children and their spouses, Elaine and Eddy Booth, Montevallo, Ala.; Jerry Webb, Tolar, Texas; and Gloria and Joe Elmore, Texarkana, Texas; the mother of his children, Wilma Cunningham, Midland, Texas; and one sister, Grace Myers, Paso Robles, Calif.
Claudette Hartley was called home to our Lord and Savior July 3, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July, 7, 2014, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring. Interment will follow at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Big Spring.
Henry R. Valverde, 55, of Big Spring, died Wednesday July 2, 2014, at University Medical Center in Lubbock. Vigil services will be 7 p.m. Monday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday with burial following at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
Henry was born in Pecos, Texas, to Susana and Luis O. Valverde on July 29, 1958. He spent most of his life in Big Spring and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. He married Margie Rocha on May 12, 1985, in Big Spring. He was working as a truck driver in the oil field. He had also worked for Walker Construction in Coahoma.
Eva Yanez, 64, of Big Spring, died Friday July 4, 2014. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
The life of Alan Davis Kernodle will be celebrated with a graveside service Saturday July 5, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Memorial Park.
Alan left for his Heavenly home Wednesday July 2, 2014, in Big Spring, Texas. At 88, Alan had a thumbs up and a hearty â€śhelloâ€ť for friends and family and no one was a stranger.
Mrs. Patsy B. Dorton, age 77 of Scroggins, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at her home with her family at her side.
Patsy was born in Big Spring on Sept. 13, 1936, to the late Aubry Z. and Alice Cleo Madilin Gay. She was a retired R.N. with the VA Hospital in Big Spring, and a founding and devoted member of the Living Word church in Leesburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mr. Louis R. Dorton; and daughter, Mechelle Hecker.
Anne Hardy Chaney died June 30, 2014, after a short illness.
Anne was born Sept. 10, 1933, in Dallas, Texas. She graduated Highland Park High School and Austin College. After graduation she moved to Big Spring, Texas, and married James Robert Chaney. They had three sons, Robert, Roy and John. After her husband's retirement, they settled in Houston where she worked as a realtor. In 1990, with her husband and son Roy, they established Camaro Concepts Inc. where she worked every day.
Lou Hatfield, 85 of Borger died July 2, 2014, in Borger. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday July 5, at Faith Covenant Church with Pastor Les Sharp officiating. Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 5, at the funeral home.
MCALLEN â€” David Michael Armendarez of McAllen, Texas, was called home by our Heavenly Father on June 26, 2014, while working in Rochelle, Ill. He was 28 years old.
David was born in Crane, Texas, on April 21, 1986.
He was a long-time resident of McCamey, Texas. David was a devoted husband and father. He was a faithful Catholic. His bible was never far from his reach. David's life revolved around family and friends. David was employed by Airways Services as a traveling wind technician.
Marion Morgan, 85, of Big Spring died Wednesday, July 2, 2014, in a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2014, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Rick Cunningham officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 3, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
Marion was born Feb. 16, 1929, in Howard County and married La Nell Thompson Feb. 18, 1977, in Lovington, N.M.
