Richard Stone, 82, of Big Spring, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014, at Parkview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. No services are planned.
He was born in Saugus, Mass. to Winifred and Thomas Stone. He served in the United States Air Force and retired from civil service after being stationed at San Angelo, San Antonio and Webb Air Force Bases. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Benton, Ark.
Steve Coleman, 60, of Big Spring, died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at his residence. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at Trinity Memorial Park with Charles Childers, officiating.
Dolly Shober, 74, of Big Spring died Sunday Feb. 9, 2014, at her residence. Vigil services will be 7 p.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish.
She was born to Daun and Joe Ramirez Sept. 24, 1939, in San Saba, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Big Spring. She worked at Walmart until her retirement. She loved spending time with her family, her children and her grandchildren. She also enjoyed working her yard when she was able and was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish.
Junior Ringener, 86, of Big Spring died Wednesday, Feb.12, 2014, in a Lubbock hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel, Big Spring with the Rev. Elwin Collom officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Feb. 14, 2014, at the funeral home.
He was born July 12, 1927, in Lyndale, Texas, and married Virginia Glaspie Jan. 24, 1948, in Courtney, Martin County, Texas.
Rosemarie Speaker, 76, of Midland, formerly of Big Spring died Wednesday, Fe. 12, 2014, in a Midland nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family received friends Thursday, Feb.13, 2014, at the funeral home.
Rosemarie was born May 20, 1937, in Galesburg, Ill., and married Walter Speaker Oct. 12, 1979, in Big Spring. He preceded her in death Nov. 16, 1999.
Deborah Evans, 63, of Big Spring, died Sunday Feb. 9, 2014, at San Angelo Community Hospital. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Myers & Smith Chapel with Pastor William T. Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
She was born to Dorothy and Jasper McGruder in Boston, Mass., Oct. 1, 1950. She lived in Big Spring for more than 45 years, coming from San Antonio. She worked for the Big Spring Herald as advertising manager until retiring because of a medical disability. She was a member of Mount Bethel Baptist Church.
Anita Bustamante, 72, of Big Spring, died Saturday Feb. 8, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb.15, 2014, at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
She was born Aug. 29, 1941, in Big Spring to Maria and Gregorio Moreno. She was a lifetime resident of Howard County. She was a Jehovahâs Witness. She worked as a seamstress for Big Spring Dress Factory and for Walls Industries. She later worked for Big Spring Independent School District until retiring in 2011.
Seferino âNinoâ Guevara, 65, of Big Spring, Texas, died Tuesday Feb. 11, 2014, at Senior Care Center of Midland. Vigil service is 7 p.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
He was born Aug. 15, 1948 in Pearsall, Texas to Minerva and Santos Guevara. He married his wife, Mary, on Aug. 17, 1969 in Stanton, Texas. He was a Korean War U.S. Army veteran and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. He was a resident of Howard County for almost 40 years.
J. O. Chapman, 90, of Big Spring, Texas died Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, in a local hospital. A private memorial service for the family will be at a later date.
He was born Oct. 20, 1923, in Knott, Howard County, Texas and married Helen Marcell Weaver April 10, 1943.
Ray passed from this world and entered into Heaven on Feb. 11, 2014, at 1:47 a.m. in the line of duty as a paramedic and doing what he loved.
Ray was born Nov. 28, 1961 in Joliet, Ill., to Raymond Burl and Darlene Hartman Allison.
