Anita Bustamante, 72, of Big Spring, died Saturday Feb. 8, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb.15, 2014, at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.
She was born Aug. 29, 1941, in Big Spring to Maria and Gregorio Moreno. She was a lifetime resident of Howard County. She was a Jehovahâs Witness. She worked as a seamstress for Big Spring Dress Factory and for Walls Industries. She later worked for Big Spring Independent School District until retiring in 2011.
Seferino âNinoâ Guevara, 65, of Big Spring, Texas, died Tuesday Feb. 11, 2014, at Senior Care Center of Midland. Vigil service is 7 p.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
He was born Aug. 15, 1948 in Pearsall, Texas to Minerva and Santos Guevara. He married his wife, Mary, on Aug. 17, 1969 in Stanton, Texas. He was a Korean War U.S. Army veteran and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. He was a resident of Howard County for almost 40 years.
J. O. Chapman, 90, of Big Spring, Texas died Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, in a local hospital. A private memorial service for the family will be at a later date.
He was born Oct. 20, 1923, in Knott, Howard County, Texas and married Helen Marcell Weaver April 10, 1943.
Ray passed from this world and entered into Heaven on Feb. 11, 2014, at 1:47 a.m. in the line of duty as a paramedic and doing what he loved.
Ray was born Nov. 28, 1961 in Joliet, Ill., to Raymond Burl and Darlene Hartman Allison.
Deborah Evans, 63, of Big Spring,Texas, died Sunday Feb. 9, 2014, at San Angelo Community Hospital. Funeral services will be Saturday at Myers & Smith Chapel with the Rev. William T. Vaughn officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
She was born to Dorothy and Jasper McGruder in Boston, Mass., Oct. 1, 1950. She lived in Big Spring for more than 45 years, coming from San Antonio, Texas. She worked for the Big Spring Herald as advertising manager until retiring because of a medical disability. She was a member of Mount Bethel Baptist Church.
Lester Adams Sr., 84, of Big Spring, Texas, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014, in a local nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with the Rev. Jim Binnix, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
He was born March 31, 1929, in Big Spring and married Joyce Wilmuth May 31, 1950, in Big Spring. She preceded him in death Feb. 8, 2007.
Dolly Shober, 74, of Big Spring, Texas, died Sunday Feb. 9, 2014, at her residence. Vigil services will be 7 p.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish.
She was born to Daun and Joe Ramirez Sept. 24, 1938, in San Saba, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Big Spring. She worked at Walmart until her retirement.
Junior Ringener, 86, of Big Spring, Texas, died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at a Lubbock hospital. His services are pending with Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory.
Rosemarie Speaker, 76, of Big Spring, Texas, died Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at a Midland nursing home. Her services are pending with Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory.
Teddy Hanford Lancaster, 86, slipped into Eternity in Prescott, Ariz., on Thursday Feb. 6, 2014, at about 11:55 p.m. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Myers and Smith Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mount Olive Memorial Park.
