Ray T. Barnett

Ray T. Barnett, 82, of Big Spring, died Thursday June 5, 2014, at his residence. Private family services will be held at a later date. His ashes will be scattered along Route 66 from Amarillo to Colorado.
He was born to Vera Pearl and Duge Barnett in Hollis, Okla., on Feb. 22, 1932. He had been a resident of Big Spring for 14 years, moving from Amarillo. He retired from Pantex Industries after 22 years as head chef where he cooked for many different dignitaries. He was also a drummer in a band and had played for such stars as Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson.

Brenda K. Webb, 66 of Stanton, Texas, died Wednesday, June 4, 2014, in a Midland hospital.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014, at the Evergreen Cemetery chapel in Stanton, Texas.
Brenda was born Nov. 18, 1947, in Lamesa to the late James and Mary (McCurdy) Koonce. She married Jack Webb Oct. 21, 1966, in Lamesa after growing up in Harlingen, Texas.
Brenda retired from the Martin County Tax office as a deputy clerk.

Jose J. Lopez, 91, of Big Spring, died Friday June 6, 2014, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Vigil service will be 7 p.m. Monday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Msgr. Bernard L. Gully officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Park.

OLNEY — Doris Junek, age 82, died Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Kell West Hospital in Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 12, 2014, in the chapel of Myers & Smith Funeral Home in Big Spring, Texas, with Scotte Clark of Olney officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Jose J. Lopez, 91, of Big Spring, died Friday June 6, 2014, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Vigil service will be 7 p.m. Monday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with the Rev. Bernard L. Gully officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Olive Memorial Park.

He was born June 3, 1923 in Mexico to Juliana and Francisco Lopez. He worked at Berkly Mobile Homes as a roofer. He married Julia Lopez Jan. 15, 1953. He was a longtime resident of Howard County and a Catholic.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 6, 2014, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Mark Lindsey, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
