Elizabeth â€śGrandmaâ€ť Pearson, 83, of Big Spring, died Saturday May 17, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday at Myers & Smith Chapel with burial following at Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel.
She was born Aug. 26, 1930, to Mary and Fred Mallard in Fitchburg, Mass. She was a housewife and mother of five daughters, three sons and one step-daughter.
Shirlene Rainey 81, of Big Spring died Saturday, May 17, 2014, in a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
Shirlene was born Jan. 2, 1933, in Big Spring and married Gorman Rainey Oct. 27, 1951, in Big Spring.
She worked for the First National Bank as a teller and greeter for 25 years.
Freda O'Brien, 58, of Big Spring, died Sunday, May 18, 2014, in a Martin County Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at the Springcreek Fellowship.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday evening at 3805 Connally.
Freda was born Feb. 11, 1956, in Valdosta, Georgia, She moved to Big Spring when she was 16 years old. She worked for the Security State Bank for a short time and then spent more 30 years in the propane industry working for Trio Fuels and finally Pinnacle Propane. Her love was raising kids and was "Nanna" to many.
Dee Foster, 61, formerly of Big Spring died Friday, May 16, 2014, at St. Davidâ€™s Round Rock Medical Center. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.

Bobby Leo â€śB.L.â€ť Finch, 85, of Sweeny passed away May 7, 2014. He was born in Houston, Texas, to Walter Lionel Finch and Hettie Mae Ellis Finch. He was a graduate of Bruni High School in Bruni, Texas, and attended A&I College in Kingsville, Texas, and Southwest Texas University in San Marcus, Texas.
Peggy Nell Knowles, 79 of Bennington, Okla,, went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2014. Peggy passed at home of natural causes with her husband Clay by her side. Peggy Nell (Roberds) Knowles was born on Aug. 10, 1934, in Algerita, Texas, to Edgar and Nell Roberds. She was married to Clay Knowles on Oct. 5, 1972, in Juarez, Mexico. She attended school in Richland Springs, Texas. Peggy was the first woman district manager for 7-Eleven in West Texas, then went on to drive a hot shot truck for DQ Wise.
Ronald Edwin â€śAndyâ€ś Anderson, 77 of Tacoma, Wash., formerly of Big Spring, Texas, passed away Thursday May 8, 2014 in Tacoma, Wash. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Monday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside services with full military honors will follow at 2 p.m. at Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel.
Shirley Jean Rhea, 68, of Odessa, died Sunday, May 11, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 16, 2014, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring.
She was born Oct. 20, 1945, in Wichita Falls, Texas and married Morris Rhea July 13, 1991, in Odessa. He preceded her in death Feb. 26, 2007.
She was a hairdresser and loved raising children. She was a longtime owner of Cassidy's Hideaway,.
Phyllis Evans, 88, of Stanton, passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014, in Greenwood, Texas. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2014, at the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel in Stanton.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Gilbreath Funeral Home.
She was born April 17, 1926, to Arthur William Howard and Margaret Mabel Goffin Howard in The Grange, Langley, England. Phyllis moved to Stanton in the early 1940s after marrying R. A. Evans of Stanton, who preceded her in death.
