A life of love, service, and adventure never seems long enough. Maurice (Mo) Gabriel Bennett, 70, led a life such as this. He was born June 3, 1940, in Raleigh, W.Va., to T.R. and Ocie Bennett. He left this world to be reunited with them March 7, 2011, while being cared for at Midland Memorial Hospital Hospice In-Care Unit. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel, with the Rev. Dennis Teeters officiating.
Johnny Moore, 74, of Big Spring, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at his residence. Services are pending at Myers & Smith Funeral Home.

Ms. Opal Evelyn Mealer, 90, of Big Spring passed away Monday, March 7, 2011, in Big Spring. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. R.T. Havener, retired Assembly of God minister, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.
Stormee Kay Nix, 31, of Big Spring went home to be with her precious father March 5, 2011, from a tragic car accident. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Alan Wallace, pastor of Peoples Fellowship Church of the Nazarene in Lubbock, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
Catherine Green, 94, of Big Spring died Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Marcy House. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mount Olive Memorial Park with the Rev. Joey Bacon officiating.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011, at the St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Father Q officiating. Burial will be in the Ciudad Fernandez Cemetery, Ciudad Fernandez, San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Thomas (Tommy) Weaver, 85, of Big Spring went to his final home in heaven Friday, March 4, 2011. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Texas State Veterans Cemetery at Abilene with the Rev. Craig Wascom, of First Assembly of God Church, officiating.
