LaDell Musgrove, 73, of Big Spring died Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at her residence. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 4, 2012, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Jim Wilkerson and the Rev. Pat Ray Jr., officiating.
She was born June 11, 1938, in Boswell, Okla., and married Thomas Jerry Musgrove Sr. Jan. 15, 1954, in Big Spring. He preceded her in death Feb. 23, 2009.
LaDell owned and operated Dell's Cafe from 1974 to 1989. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.
Paula Bayes Parker Raef, 62, of Amarillo passed away on May 25, 2012, from injuries sustained from a car accident.
Paula was born June 29, 1949, in San Antonio to George and Betty Raef. She worked as a cable repairman for Southwestern Bell in Big Spring for many years before moving to Amarillo. She worked for the City of Amarillo as a journeyman electrician until her death.
AMARILLO â Gwendolyn Kay Sheehan Oliver, 90. of Amarillo passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012. Funeral services were held Monday, May 28, 2012, at Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Pioneer Chapel with Pastor Jerry Davey officiating. Interment will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens in San Angelo.
Gwen was born Nov. 20, 1921, in New Castle, Texas, to Harry Curran and Maude Burdick Sheehan. As a child, she moved to Eastland County, Texas. She graduated from Pioneer High School.
Frances Yvonne "Frankie" Herron, 77, passed away unexpectedly May 26, 2012, in Fort Worth. Frankie was born in Martin County, Texas, Nov. 4, 1934, to Clyde and Verda Geurin, and graduated from Stanton High School. She met Carl Herron in 1953 at a youth rally at Prairie View Baptist Church in Big Spring. Carl fell in love with her as soon as she walked in the door, telling his friends, âIâm going to marry that girl.â They were married Dec. 24, 1954.

Frances âFrankieâ Herron, 77, of Crowley, formerly of Big Spring, died Saturday, May 26, 2012, in a Fort Worth nursing home. Her services are pending with Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Big Spring.
Mary Elizabeth Grandey, 91, of Big Spring died Tuesday, May 22, 2012, in a local nursing home. A private family memorial will be held in Dallas.
She was born June 14, 1920, in Greenville, Texas.
Mrs. Grandey had worked as a switchboard operator at Sears. She was a member of 14th and Main Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Pettitt of Big Spring and Nancy Rogers and husband Bill of Athens; four grandchildren, Kelly Hunter and wife Liliana, Jana Hunter, Jenny Parum and Jim Louis and wife Lori; and five great-grandchildren.
Marjorie E. "Margie" Bentley, 89, of Carrollton formerly of Stanton, died Saturday, May 19, 2012, in a Fort Worth hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, May 28, 2012, at the Evergreen Cemetery, Stanton.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday, May 27, 2012, at the funeral home
She was born May 4, 1923, in Stanton, Texas, and graduated valedictorian from Stanton High School. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, John Jackson Bentley.
Jerry L. Turney, 71, of Big Spring died Thursday, May 24, 2012, in a local hospital. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, May 26, 2012, at the funeral home.
He was born Jan. 15, 1941, in Lamesa, Texas, and married Euna Vallene Wilkerson in July 1959. They had two sons, Jeffery and Jay. He later married Winnie E. Dippel on June 3, 1981.
James McVicars, 85, of Midland died Saturday, May 19, 2012, at the Parkview Nursing Home in Big Spring. Memorial services will be held in Toronto, Canada, at a later date.
He was born in Stirling, Scotland, March 27, 1927, and after serving in the British Marines moved to Toronto, Canada. James worked as a dance instructor for many years, opening studios in Jacksonville, Florida and Lubbock, Texas. He later started a construction business in Midland, Texas.
