Anne Hardy Chaney

Anne Hardy Chaney died June 30, 2014, after a short illness.

Anne was born Sept. 10, 1933, in Dallas, Texas. She graduated Highland Park High School and Austin College. After graduation she moved to Big Spring, Texas, and married James Robert Chaney. They had three sons, Robert, Roy and John. After her husband's retirement, they settled in Houston where she worked as a realtor. In 1990, with her husband and son Roy, they established Camaro Concepts Inc. where she worked every day.

Lou Hatfield, 85 of Borger died July 2, 2014, in Borger. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday July 5, at Faith Covenant Church with Pastor Les Sharp officiating. Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 5, at the funeral home.

MCALLEN — David Michael Armendarez of McAllen, Texas, was called home by our Heavenly Father on June 26, 2014, while working in Rochelle, Ill. He was 28 years old.

David was born in Crane, Texas, on April 21, 1986.

He was a long-time resident of McCamey, Texas. David was a devoted husband and father. He was a faithful Catholic. His bible was never far from his reach. David's life revolved around family and friends. David was employed by Airways Services as a traveling wind technician.

Marion Morgan, 85, of Big Spring died Wednesday, July 2, 2014, in a local nursing home. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 5, 2014, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Rick Cunningham officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 3, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.

Marion was born Feb. 16, 1929, in Howard County and married La Nell Thompson Feb. 18, 1977, in Lovington, N.M.

R. Manning Stroup Jr. passed away unexpectedly on June 27, 2014, at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital in Fairbanks, Alaska, surrounded by his loving wife Betty and his three children, Henry, Ana and Loren. Manning resided in North Pole, Alaska, for 23 years and spent his last seven months in the loving care of the staff at the Fairbanks Pioneer Home in Alaska.

Marshall Bryan Lister, age 51, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Shannon Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Slater's Chapel Cemetery in Nolan, Texas, with Kevin Johnson officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, from 6:30-8 p.m.

Marshall was born June 22, 1963, in Sweetwater, Texas, to John Marvin and Sharlene Mae (Porter) Lister. He was a Baptist.

D.A. Thurman, 95, of Colorado City, formerly of Big Spring, died Tuesday, July 1, 2014, in a Colorado City nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2014, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel in Big Spring with Dr. Jerry Sheilds officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring.

He was born Nov. 30, 1918, in Sulphur Springs, Texas and married Ella Mae Carpenter Sept. 26, 1939, in Sulphur Springs, Texas.
