Leading the charge: Adams’ strong start driving force for Steers this season

December 9, 2010

Big Spring guard Luke Adams wasn’t fully aware how big his performance against Odessa Permian was on Nov. 19. Forty-two points was far from where he thought he finished.

“I really didn’t,” the senior said. “That’s the crazy thing about it. I didn’t even know how many. I probably thought I had 20, maybe 25.
“I guess when you’re playing to win, you don’t really care about points. You just care what’s on that scoreboard.”

Maybe it’s that mindset that has opponents taking notice of Adams.
