SWEETWATER — The Big Spring Steers changed their offensive attack early in Friday night's district game in Sweetwater, but were unable to come up with a different result, as they fall to the Mustangs 28-6.
Garrett Stuteville hit Toby Rodgers on a 23-yard touchdown pass at the halfway point of the fourth quarter for Big Spring's only points, as the Black and Gold fall to 0-8 on the season.
Sweetwater was treated to a different looking offense than they might have expected early in the game, as Steers' sophomore Devin Roberson started at the quarterback position for Big Spring.
FORSAN — Area 2A football fans could not have asked for a better game than the one played in Forsan Friday night. Both teams were undefeated in district play, setting the stage for a battle for all the marbles. When it was over, the Coahoma Bulldogs took a 23-22 victory home, advancing to a 4-0 district record, while the Buffaloes fall to 2-1.
After Justin Coker scored for the Bulldogs and then caught a pass from Tanner Ruiz for the two-point conversion, Forsan responded with 13 first quarter points of their own.
