Steers sweep Lake View

March 16, 2011

A quick lesson from Baseball 101: When your pitcher throws strikes, the game becomes a lot easier.

Two varying examples of this rule were on display during the Big Spring Steers' doubleheader vs. San Angelo Lake View Tuesday afternoon. In game one, both the Steers and the Chiefs had trouble finding the strike zone and the end result was a 13-12 marathon win for the Steers. In the nightcap, however, Big Spring pitcher Jacob Acosta consistently got ahead of the opposing batters and the Steers cruised to a relatively easy 7-3 victory.
